Hamilton High School Color Guard

Hello!

The Hamilton High School Color Guard is looking to fill 2 Assistant Director/Tech roles. Both are paid by district supplemental. One ranges from $3000-$3500, the other $2000-$2500. I do not have control over these amounts. The ranges are based on years of experience in a similar role, as determined by district administration. I will of course advocate for the best placement possible. Potential to work with our Winter Guard, which involves addition compensation. That additional compensation is equivalent to the fall compensation described above.

Program:

The Hamilton High School Marching Band competes in OMEA, and is a regular State Finalist. Additionally, the Band participated in BOA events, and travels to destinations such as Hawaii, Florida, and the East Coast. The Color Guard was Grand Champion at all shows this past fall.

The Hamilton High School Winter Guard is a WGI A Class Finalist and Circuit Champion.

Qualifications:

Able to pass a background check.
DCI/WGI experience preferred. Some form of competitive color guard experience strongly preferred.
Weapon and/or Dance specialist strongly preferred.
Team mind set.
Student centered mind set.
Active and invested in the program when present.

Schedule:

Not set yet, but, based on last fall:

Band Camp is generally last two weeks of July. 8-5.
We hold about 3-4 all day Saturday camps, and attend 3-4 contests, State Finals, and Grand Nationals.
Home Football Games only.
Sectionals Mondays 6-9.
Rehearsals Tuesday and Thursday 4-7.

Availability for the schedule is negotiable for the qualified candidates, as we understand it is a bit onerous.
