The Clements High School Band is searching for a Guard Director starting this coming school year, 2024-2025. Our program consists of 40+ members – Varsity, JV, and Cadet Guards. We are looking for someone with teaching and performance experience that can continue to grow our program and challenge our students.
Primary Start Date: July 25, 2024
Position Information:
- Located in Fort Bend ISD
- 6A high school
- District Salary: $32,000 with additional Band Booster stipend to supplement benefits and expenses.
- Specific Guard Budget for supplies/design/staff
Duties:
- 2 guard classes daily from 8am-10am
- Marching rehearsals – Mon/Wed/Thurs
- Collaborative design process with band staff while planning and implementing fall program.
- Football Games/Marching Contests
- Winter Guard – Varsity, JV, & Cadet
- Coordinate Varsity show with a designer, choreograph work, develop student skills, plan and manage rehearsals with staff.
- Design, choreograph, and teach JV rehearsals.
- Supervise show design, choreography, and education of our feeder middle school Cadet program. Coordinate with Cadet Tech throughout winter season.
Qualifications:
- DCI/WGI experience preferred
- Teaching experience preferred
- Experience in teaching and modeling dance/flag/rifle/sabre
- High School diploma

WGI Austin – SA Regional Finalist
TCGC Championship – Scholastic JV Regional A Bronze Medalist
TCGC Cadet Novice Championship – 7th place
UIL State Marching Band Participant
