WGI Recognizes and Celebrates Juneteenth Freedom Day!

Juneteenth commemorates the day that the news of emancipation reached Galveston, TX in 1865. This comes 2.5 years after Lincoln declared the end of slavery in January of 1863.

WGI honors and celebrates all Black voices in the marching arts and recognizes the importance of their presence and representation within our activity. Continue pushing boundaries and inspiring excellence both on and off the floor.

The WGI office will be closed on Monday, June 19 in recognition of Juneteenth. Operations will resume at 9:00am est. Tuesday, June 20.
