Clear Brook High School Band in Friendswood, TX is currently looking for a COLORGUARD DIRECTOR available to start in June for the 2024/2025 school year.

The Clear Brook Marching Band has qualified for the UIL 6A State Marching Contest for its 3rd year in a row, and most recently placed in the top 3 at Waco and North Houston BOA Regionals. The Colorguard program of over 40 students has consistently won caption awards at local contests and regionals in the fall. Last year, our varsity Winterguard won the Gold Medal in Scholastic A at TCGC State finals, and the Silver Medal at WGI World Championships. This year they placed 3rd at TCGC State Finals and 19th in Semi-Finals at WGI World Championships in their first season competing in Scholastic Open class. Our JV group most recently received the Gold Medal in Scholastic JV-A at TCGC State Finals.

The ideal candidate should have experience managing a competitive fall guard and Winterguard program budget, design, logistics, recruiting, and CULTURE. They should be willing to be a part of a collaborative band team, and ready to participate in the design process of our band’s Fall production. With the size of the Colorguard growing to nearly 50 students next season, the director will teach two guard classes during the day, direct the guard at all rehearsals and travel with the program to football games and contests.

The guard program at Clear Brook has stellar Band Director support, incredible parents and administrators, and the most dedicated and hard-working students a teacher could ask for.
