Participant wristbands
With any event registration, each group automatically receives participant wristbands for the number of marching members plus ten extras for directors, staff, chaperones, etc.
Participant wristbands are distributed to each group at check-in. Wristbands on performers MUST be visible on the wrist or ankle to gain entrance to the event. Please instruct those that receive a wristband to wear snugly so as not to interfere with equipment and prevent loss. If a wristband breaks or is damaged, directors should bring the damaged wristband to check-in to obtain a replacement.
Regional and Power Regional Events
- Groups competing at WGI Regional and Power Regional events will receive participant wristbands for all performing members plus ten (10) additional participant wristbands. Two of which will provide front-side seating. (excluding capacity restricted events).
- These wristbands allow for entry to prelims, semi-finals, and finals for that regional.
- Also available for purchase is a PLUS Pass which must be purchased at the time of registration and provides extra participant wristbands to groups (see detailed information under “PLUS Pass” below).
- Extra participant wristbands are intended to be distributed at the discretion of the director and used for staff, chaperones, volunteers, bus drivers, interpreters, floor crew, or anyone the group may need to have entry to the event. There are no director/staff badges at WGI Events. If the number of wristbands your group needs exceeds the extra wristbands allotted, regular spectator tickets must be purchased for entry.
World Championships
- Groups competing at WGI World Championships will receive participant wristbands for all performing members plus ten (10) additional participant wristbands.
- These wristbands allow for entry to prelims, semi-finals, A Class Finals, Open Class Finals, and Winds Finals.
- Groups performing in World Class Finals will receive the same number of “Finalists” wristbands that they received at check-in.
- Also available for purchase is a PLUS Pass which must be purchased at the time of registration and provides extra participant wristbands to groups (see detailed information under “PLUS Pass” below).
- Extra participant wristbands are intended to be distributed at the discretion of the director and used for staff, chaperones, volunteers, bus drivers, interpreters, floor crew, or anyone the group may need to have entry to the event. plus pass
PLUS Pass provides additional participant wristbands to groups beyond what is included in registration. Groups with a large number of props or equipment to bring on and off the floor may want to consider purchasing the PLUS Pass for an event vs. extra spectator tickets. This provides a considerable cost savings.

- A WGI Regionals PLUS Pass provides five additional participant wristbands.
- A WGI Power Regional PLUS Pass provides seven additional participant wristbands.
- A WGI World Championships PLUS Pass provides seven additional participant wristbands.
- Groups may only purchase one PLUS Pass per event.
- WGI World Championships PLUS Pass is included in the number of Backside tickets you may purchase for Color Guard or Percussion World Class Finals.
