Kiski Area Winter guard Show Announcements

From a Kiski area Press Release

Kiski Area is excited to have three scholastic groups participating in the 2022 WGI season!

Kiski Area’s Scholastic Open 2022 production, “Second Star to the Right,” is inspired by the classic Peter Pan character Wendy Darling and combines elements of realism and abstraction to explore the nostalgic question, “if you could return to Neverland, to the freedom of childhood, would you?”  Kiski Area’s SO guard is participating in the WGI Virtual Preview on January 29th, the Pittsburgh regional on February 26th and 27th, the Indianapolis regional on March 19th and 20th, and WGI World Championships in Dayton, April 7th through the 9th.

Kiski Area’s Scholastic A 2022 production, “Queen of Hearts,” is inspired by the iconic Alice in Wonderland character, the Red Queen, and reimagines her villainous persona as a misunderstood outcast desperate to learn how to love.  Kiski Area’s SA guard is participating in the WGI Virtual Preview on January 29th, the Pittsburgh regional on February 26th and 27th, and the Indianapolis regional on March 19th and 20th.

Kiski Area’s Scholastic Regional A 2022 production, “The Road Less Traveled,” is inspired by the sometimes hard choice to follow your own path and the belief that you’ll be better and stronger because of it. Kiski Area’s SRA guard is participating in the WGI Virtual Preview on January 29th and the Pittsburgh regional on February 26th and 27th.

The Kiski Area Winter Guard program is under the direction of Brady Sanders. Staff includes:  Alex Brown, Angie Mayhue, Sarah Orange, Shawn Pityk, Jim Schaefer, Sam Shamburg, Haylee Shoemaker, Frank Stanko, Alissa Szewczak, and Bruno Zuccala.

Costumes by Chad Duggan and Dance Sophisticates.  Flags by Joseph Heininger and Showday Designs.  Tarps by Field & Floor FX.
