PRO-MARK RECEIVES MILESTONE AWARD FROM NAMM
Pro-Mark Corporation, the world's largest manufacturer dedicated exclusively to the design, production and distribution of drumsticks, mallets, and percussion accessories was recognized recently with NAMM's Milestone Award for 50 years of service in the music products industry.
The Milestone Award was presented to company owner/president Maury Brochstein and founder Herb Brochstein by Joe Lamond, president and CEO of NAMM, the International Music Products Association.
In presenting the award, Lamond said, "It's said that one of the best ways to measure true business success is sometimes just sticking around. It is our honor to recognize Pro-Mark for their vision and contributions to music and music making."
Pro-Mark Corporation was founded by Herb Brochstein, a drummer and drum teacher in 1957. The company began by importing a small handful of drum stick models from Japan. Now, in addition to manufacturing and marketing nearly 200 models of drumsticks, the company also offers a full line of educational products and accessory items. Pro-Mark was acquired by Herb's son, Maury, on January 9, 1997.
