PRO-MARK CELEBRATES 50 YEARS
IN A BIG WAY
Pro-Mark Corporation, the world's largest manufacturer dedicated exclusively to the design, production, and distribution of drumsticks, mallets, and percussion accessories is marking its 50th anniversary in a big way.
To celebrate, the Houston-based company has teamed with craftsman Pete Stanbridge to create a limited number of very special snare drums built from the original Japanese Shira Kashi™ White Oak, American Hickory, and American Maple...the three types of wood used by Pro-Mark in the making of their drumsticks.
The shell of the drum is Japanese Shira Kashi™ White Oak. The company's signature "bands" are inlaid in a beautiful walnut. The hoops are a combination of American Maple and Pau Ferro, an exceptionally hard wood, and the cast gold-plated 50th Anniversary badge is mounted on a small hickory frame. The drum is finished in a high gloss instrument lacquer for a true "high end" look and feel. Twenty-four carat gold-plated hardware completes the package.
In making the announcement, company president Maury Brochstein said, "These drums are truly works of art. And,there are simply too many special features to be able to name them all. Suffice it to say that drummers who are looking for something unique and stunningly beautiful...that sounds great, too...will want one of these drums!"
Brochstein noted, "We're making only 50 5 1/2 x 14s and 50 6 1/2 x 14s so it is a very limited run. Those drummers and collectors who wish to reserve one may do so on our web site at www.promark.com/drum."
