From Summer to Winter

Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps is pleased to announce the creation of Southwind Winter Guard for the 2010 WGI season. Southwind Winter Guard will based in Lexington, KY and compete in the Independent A Class in the TriState Circuit. The guard will also attend two WGI Regionals and in WGI World Championships April 8-10 in Dayton, OH.
Southwind Winter Guard will be led by director Marcus Lewis. Marcus has been a colorguard clinician, consultant and adjudicator throughout the Eastern United States. He was the executive director and choreographer for WGI A Class finalist Act I Colorguard from Herndon, Virginia. Most recently he was the colorguard director for the BOA Class A National Champions Bourbon County HS of Paris, Kentucky and on the teaching and support staff of Onyx World 2009.
Other staff joining the Southwind team are choreographers Mary Ann Licamele, Nicole Younger, Elisabeth Cheesman and Program Designer Michael Lentz.
